Our Top 10 Brunch Spots in Grand Rapids
Ok Lakeshore peeps, it’s time to discuss a very serious topic: BRUNCH!
We know you guys are as passionate about local brunch as much as we are, and after a lot of consideration, we have narrowed down a list of our top 10 brunch spots in the communities on the lakeshore! (plus a few honorable mentions ;))
We also have made a map of the brunch spots in Greater Grand Rapids for you to use the next time you’re feeling up for a good local brunch!
1. Colby's Cafe - Whitehall
Colby’s Cafe brings a modern cafe vibe to the Whitehall area and it’s so cute! They have a menu full of food options, baked goods, and amazing coffee creations. Plus, they have weekly specials you will l o v e!
We can assure you that brunch at Colby’s is nothing short of fantastic and the menu is filled with favorites! They are open Mon-Sat from 7am-7pm and Sun from 8am-4pm.
2. Pennyroyal Cafe - Saugatuck
Pennyroyal Cafe is another renowned brunch spot located in Saugatuck. It is definitely a unique dining destination. that makes for an unforgettable experience!
The cafe serves brunch from 8am to 4pm everyday they are open! (The cafe is closed on Tuesdays).
3. The Unicorn Tavern - Grand Haven
The Unicorn Tavern is the perfect blend of cool, funky, and delicious, especially for brunch! It is located in East Grand Haven, which is highly underrated if we do say so ourselves. In the summers you can also visit “The Mermaid” which is their outdoor patio that brings tropical vibes
Brunch is served every Saturday and Sunday and it is OUT OF THIS WORLD AMAZING!
4. Brunch House - Muskegon
Brunch House in Muskegon is simply a DREAM! They have every drink option you love when it comes to brunch, from mimosas to smoothies to coffees to fresh juices, you really can’t go wrong!
They have two locations, one in Muskegon and one in Grand Rapids if you happen to find yourself out there! They are open everyday from 7am-3pm.
5. Dave's Landing - South Haven
Let’s talk about Dave’s Landing brunch. This adorable little local breakfast/brunch spot is sure to wow you! The South Haven community love’s Dave’s and we know you will too
The diner is open from 6am to 2pm from Friday to Tuesday (closed Wednesday and Thursday)
6. Planks Tavern on the Water - St. Joseph
Just like it says in the name, Plank’s is on the water in St Joseph, MI which makes for the perfect view while you enjoy the perfect brunch. They serve their brunch menu everyday from 7am-3pm and on Sundays they have an extra special brunch buffet served from 9am-2pm.
Stop in for some mimosas and good American brunch food any day of the week!
7. Al Fuego Bar and Grill - New Buffalo
We can’t think of anything better than a brunch date in New Buffalo and a walk on the beach afterward! Al Fuego is the perfect place to enjoy brunch, their french toast particularly is good and so are their skillets. From omelets to skillets to sweet breakfast favorites, they really have it all!
Al Fuego is open every day of the week from 7am to 10pm!
8. Cottage Garden Cafe - Pentwater
Cottage Garden Cafe is only the cutest little brunch spot in the heart of Pentwater. From the screened in porch you can even enjoy a view of the water while enjoying a good ole waffle or your go to brunch order!
Open on Wednesday-Monday (closed Tuesdays) from 8am to 12:30, the Cottage Garden Cafe needs to be on your lakeshore brunch list!
9. Morning Star Cafe
Welcome to Morning Star Cafe, a neighborhood classic on the East side of Grand Haven. This fun cafe has weekly specials put up on a board when you walk in and they are unique and oh so delicious! Morning Star Cafe is well know and loved in the community for good reason!
Breakfast and Brunch is served every day from 6:30am-2:30pm.
10. Mr. B's Pancake House - Muskegon
First of all, do you see that coffee picture?! You cannot visit Mr. B’s without trying on of their amazing coffee drinks. You really will be blown away by the brunch here and the menu is full of great options.
Mr. B’s is open Tues through Sun from 7am-3pm.
